NEEDLES & KNITS
WOOL SHOP
![]() This is a free pattern designed by Megi Burcl. The mitts knit up quickly, look great and are so versatile. Sometimes it is nice to have one's hands covered but free from gloves. We have included the pattern here for you to download as we thought some of you might want to get a start on next year's Christmas knitting. LOL! ![]()

Audrey is a Needles and Knits customer and has been attending the Knit Therapy Sessions for a long time. Audrey recently discovered Fairgrounds DK at Needles and Knits Wool Shop. It is an acrylic yarn with the feel of merino and it can be washed. One would never guess it is an acrylic. Seriously! It creates a fair isle pattern when knit. Here are the six beautiful shades that are available. She purchased a couple balls of the Fairgrounds DK and decided to knit up a few cowls. They turned out fantastic! Here are the how to's for Audrey's Cowl:
One ball of Fairgrounds DK With 4 mm circular needle cast on 110 sts for smaller blue cowl and 130 sts for orange cowl (Audrey cast on 140 for the one she knit but thinks 130 sts would allow for a nicer drape). Place a marker at beginning of round and purl 3 rounds. Knit in the round until desired length but leave enough yardage to finish. Purl 3 rounds and cast off all sts. Sew in end |
