NEEDLES & KNITS
WOOL SHOP
Here is an idea that everyone loves! Homemade knitted dishcloths. With Christmas just around the corner we thought you might need a teacher's gift or a hostess gift...Just add ribbon and a nice smelling soap and you have a really thoughtful and useful gift. Needles and Knits has some lovely colourful cotton yarns that can be used to knit dishcloths. There is Cascade Ultra Pima, Bamboo cotton and Berroco. You can use a basketweave pattern or seed stitch pattern for the dishcloth or try one of these dishcloth patterns we made up. The beauty of knitting a dishcloth is that you can do it while watching tv and you can knit one up in an evening. ![]() Ribbed Dishcloth Cast on uneven number of stitches ie. we used 47 stitches Row 1 - 3: Knit Row 4: K 3 *K2, P2; repeat from * across to last 4 stitches, K4 Repeat row 4 until dishcloth measures 8 - 9 inches or is desired size.
